Step 1 — Copy the post link
On desktop, open the post and click the ⋯ menu in the top-right corner, then choose Copy link to post. In the mobile app, tap the same ⋯ menu and choose Copy link. A link that looks like linkedin.com/posts/name-activity-7123456789012345678-abcd works best.
Step 2 — Paste it into the downloader
Return to the home page, paste the link (or tap Paste) and press Fetch media. We read the public post, collect every video rendition and image it exposes, and show them in a list.
Step 3 — Pick a quality and download
Switch between the Video, Image and Audio tabs. Choose a resolution — 1080p for re-sharing, 720p as a balanced default, 360p or 480p to save data — then press download. A progress bar shows the exact transfer, and you can cancel any time.
Which quality should I pick?
- 1080p Full HD — best for re-uploading or presentations.
- 720p HD — good balance of sharpness and file size.
- 480p / 360p — quick saves on mobile data.
- Original image — the largest version LinkedIn stores.
- Audio (WAV) — extracted in your browser at 48, 44.1 or 22 kHz.
Downloading on iPhone and Android
On Android, files land in your Downloads folder and appear in the gallery after a moment. On iOS, Safari saves to the Files app — open Downloads, tap the video, then share it to Photos if you want it in your camera roll.
If a post won't fetch
Make sure the post is public (open it in a private browser window to check), that the URL points at the post itself rather than a search or feed page, and that the content hasn't been deleted. More fixes are on the FAQ page.
